Question by Erro:

How do you feel about curse words in novels?

Do people find curse words jolting in novels? Does it turn you off the novel? What about words like crap and hell? Or using god or jesus as exclamation?

Please mention the genres that you read. Thanks!

I read lots of Stephen King... and generally the usual cuss words don't bother me at all, especially since the characters are enduring rather extreme circumstances at the time. :D I do find instances when his use of the c word is extraneous.
